Surprisingly the hardest part of removing the rear brake assemblies was the easiest. The flat head screws came right out and with a couple of hits with a babbitt hammer the drums came right off. The inside were rusted so bad I'm surprised they worked at all. It was definitely a disaster waiting to happen.
It was removing the seals out of the rear hubs that I destroyed a bearing. Nothing in stock anywhere so they are now on order, due in Wed. I wanted disc brakes on this this weekend. Guess I'll have a almost completely rebuilt rear end when done.
Guess I'll rebuild the carb while I'm waiting. Maybe the new gas lines or the bed or the tail lights, maybe the dipstick replacement...............
