Hello from Vermont j10

New to site am building 77 j10 short bed almost back together now hoping to be cruising by July.
Got this truck out of prineville Oregon for 50th birthday from my awesome wife
Had 72 in high school for 15 years always regretted selling it back in 99 so here I am now happy again! Will try to start at before photo right after I got truck last April. If I can finger it out!

Small world. I've lived in Prineville my whole life . what color was your rig ? I probably knew of it since I was in high school when it was new. it's a pretty small town I think I knew every Jeep , Javelin and AMX for the last 45 years.



I'm just finishing the restoration on a J10 Golden Eagle that's been in Prineville all of it's life.

I'm a little Slow on replies!

Sorry this truck had spent most of its life in Lincoln city but I don't know how long it was in Prineville.the 77 j10 has been white all its life.
I went to high school (1982-85)in Redmond Oregon and got my 72 j2000 when I turned 16 and kept it till late 90's it was primer gray till 86 then it was burgundy red and was called thumper painted on rear corners and was all jacked up on 38" tires. We owned the sisters market until 1999. Sure wish I had that truck back!
Had a 80 Cherokee wide track when I moved here to Vermont but had to trade it off for a mini van yuck! That was another central and Oregon rig oh the days when we lived there with no rust. Trying to move back to Redmond soon so you may see my 77 j10 back there cause I'm never selling this one.
Am trying to post some pics but can't get them resized or something?

Cool to see another Oregon guy! From the small town of Independence, near Salem myself.

Pictures are a pain no matter how you do it, I use Photobucket and it seems to work, i have to resize them before i put them into photobucket and then link them to IFSJA.

Here’s how my j10 looked when I got it! Since then its all dressed up. Am going to. Post progress photos now that I figured it out! More to come! I repainted and fixed rust found a factory roll bar minus the bed hoop.

Have had a fsj since the day before my 16th birthday!
My 72 j2000 was my first named thumper sadly sold in 97
80 Cherokee saldly traded for mini van 2001
Happy to say they are all Oregon trucks along with my truck now!

Rebuilding 79 J10 in Bend

I am in process of rebuilding my first jeep. Finally getting the mechanicals straightened out and they will work on body and paint. After that have a 1971 J4800 Camper Special.
