Super console in j10

I know it's been done but I'm having a issue.
With just the console in my truck it fits the floor perfectly following the ridges on the floor.
With the shifter base mounted it won't.allow the console to sit low enough.
Any thoughts?

I just put a Super Wag console in my 76 without issue. Do you have carpet and insulation to help push the console up, so that it gives it some clearance on the topside of the shifter? Mine fit without issue so that is the only thing I can think of....Good luck. Scott

No carpet yet......just sound and heat barrier.
