New to me j3000 from NC

Hello All,

Just picked up a 65 or 66 j3000. Will be working on it through to summer.

It’s name is Mater, as in Tow-Mater

already looking a lot better !!!

little effort goes a long ways

love the eyeballs and teeth to mimic tow mater

it was already "mater red" when you got it, haha.

you will get more looks as is

than a new 60 grand truck would.

and you are a lot cooler in it !!!

Thanks. Lots of work to do. Floor boards are cut out, with new sheet metal waiting to be welded in. Trunk bed concept taking shape. You will recognize my inspiration as things progress. My neighbor did a proof of concept test cut, looks wicked...

It is shocking to me how good that JL bumper looks there! Wow! If I was asked "should I put a JL bumper on my Gladiator?" I would have thrown up a little in the back of my mouth but it actually looks pretty darn at home there! Kudos for making that work!

Thanks, ya the bumper looks pretty good. It lines up well with the opening. I am still going to raise it about 2 inches. Pie pans, haha funny didnt notice..
