Forced to sell my beloved Jeeps

Well I have to sell my jeeps to help buy a new house. I'm bummed but I also want to be a home owner so the toys gotta go. My wife is busy consoling me and assures me that once we get the new house I can get the jeep of my choice which is cool, but I've really grown attached to my two jeeps. Sorry for the depressing post. I just had to vent and knew all the good folks would understand. You can find them in the for sale section if your looking to pick up a couple of jeeps cheap.

Noooo!! Just kidding, getting a house definitely comes first. Just be sure to stick around here - we won't make you feel too left out.

I feel your pain. No one wants to sell those toys when they don't have to. I hope that money from Jeep goes to pay for house.

Sucks you gotta sell your toys but smart move buying a house while they're CHEAP! In the long run it's a great move - short term pain for long term gain.

Getting a zero down loan and they neglected to tell me that I would need $1000.00 earnest money.

The best thing about Jeeps is there is always another one out there for a reasonable price. Seems to me the best way to look for them is enter "ran when parked" on Craigslist and they pop up like popcorn!

That sucks, that you have to sell your Jeeps

Look for a house with a big garage to setup a shop for your next Jeep.

I'm shocked that anyone is still giving 0-down loans. This is how this whole mortgage fiasco started.

And people buying houses that can't afford them. Randy sucks about the Jeeps. Especially how hard you looked for that Cherokee. Good Luck.

With the housing market the way it is now I just can't see not buying a home, at least in my situation. I can buy a home and gain 200 a month by not paying high rent. My mortgage will only be 550 a monthe with taxes and ins so I have to go for it. If I can get away with only selling one I will but if I have to part with them my wife has promissed that I can get another Cherokee when we get in the house so I'm not getting out of the jeeps just hoping that they will help me out of a jam and get a member or members here some enjoyment til I can get going again.

I went through that, years ago. I had a '77 CJ7 ("the Other Woman"), which I owned for 10 years. Redid the whole thing. Eventually, I had to sell it. .

A short while after, I pretty much forgot about it.

You'll be SO busy with the new house stuff, that you won't have time to think about playing with your jeep.

Hope this helps... .

Rich

P.S. Five years ago, I was able to buy my current CJ. It gives me something to spend every extra nickle I have, on. Someday, you'll get another Jeep to suck you dry, too .
