First post. Just picked up a real clean 88 Wagoneer. It's my first Jeep but not my first truck. Looking into options for lift/tires. I want 33's but not sure if the 6" lift required will be too tall for my liking. Def don't wanna hack up the body cause it's so clean. Those of you that have done 4" and 31's do you like it, or do you regret not going with 6" and 33s? Haven't decided the direction I wanna go yet. Might even just keep it stock for now.

I'm in the middle of a 4" lift with 32's. I've got the lift in and it looks great. Tires and alignment happen this week. Follow my build in my signature. I'll have pics with the new 32's up this week. Just put the fuel tank back in today. Just need to throw the rear driveshaft back in so I can drive it up to get the tires and align doneFollow my build http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=174682

BigOberg- Wow, you've put in a lot of work, looks great. Looking forward to seeing the 4" with 32's that sounds like it would be ideal if they fit without rubbing. What wheel setup you gonna be using? I like the stock wheels.
Draglink- Sweet ride!! The rear is the look I'm after but the front seems kinda high. Did you have to use longer shackles to keep the tires from rubbing? Leaning towards the 4" as well.1988 GW

WOW!! She looks VERY clean.
Yes, I have 1.5" lift BJs shackles in the front. I am going to replace those with stock soon. Tried to do it quickly a few weekends ago, but the bolts are seized in the bushings, so I need to dedicate more time to it. Maybe a rainy or cold Sat or Sun project.....turn heat on in garage and be in no hurry'86 GW 6" Rustys, 1 1/2" BJs shackles, 33 BFGs
