    Should I jump on a $400 1980 Cherokee?

A buddy just wants what he has in one that?s been sitting in his yard, the scrap cost. It?s pretty complete with glass, motor, dash, etc. thinking maybe I could flip it, or pull some in-demand parts and scrap the rest. Looking for some perspective. Thanks!

Grab it! Probably more parts there than you may think. Where in TN?

          Pics?

Curious what $400 TN Cherokee looks like. I know a Michigan one would look like a pile of dust.

Is there really a question here? I am about ready to call for you to turn in your man card for even asking such a silly question. SMH... If this Cherokee is not in your possession in the next week, you should trade in your other 2 Wagos for a Prius and a Smart Car.

Buy it and, as it is likely rotted on the bottom, part it out.

PS: I'm interested in the roof.

In case your flip it or part it out for profit plan doesn't pan out make "sure" you get a title with it. W/o a title you won't be able to boneyard scrap the carcass unless you cut it up into easily manageable pieces.

He rescued it off a scrap truck at the steel mill we work at during cash for clunkers, so I'm pretty sure there's no title. The local yard took a Silverado that there wasn't much left of without a title, so I don't think it'll be a big issue (but you are right, it can be a problem). I'll get some pics of it posted soon.

OK here she is. Agreed to buy it for $300. No title or key. Ignition has been busted so he could steer it. He's going to swap the wheels with the steel ones on his J truck

Minimal frame rot, if any. No gas tank (like I said it was on it's way to get melted)
