so i cant find much of anything for swapping a dana 20 to a tc727 can anyone shed some light on this
thanks nick
For a Jeep, it's never considered because the drop is on the wrong side. As well as being the wrong pattern. The Bronco used a driver's drop 20, but I don't know the pattern or spline count.
IHC used the Dana 20 with the TF727, so that could be a junkyard source, if you want passenger drop. Jeep only used the Dana 300 with the TFxxx in the CJ-7, not the Dana 20. Advanced or Novak likely have an aftermarket kit.

Ford also used a spud shaft (28-spline) and an intermediate housing on the early Broncos -- IIRC most of the D20s were actually six spline input (like some of the Jeeps?).
The front mounting pattern is completely different, as are the shift rail locations. It's really a completely different transfer case. If you're going TF727, there are much better options.
