Is there a Cheap (like <$100) option to get 1.7 ratio rocker arms?

Looking around on IFSJA I see the only easy/reliable 1.7 rocker arms for our AMC V8s seem to be Harland Sharp and Scorpion. Both are over $300 on Summit racing. I plan on removing my valve covers to paint them and install new gaskets when I do my intake and thought that might be a good time to do some 1.7 rockers (if they are cheap enough). I see posts here and there that talk about using Chevy or Ford rockers and the pros and cons of those but they are mostly talking about roller tips. I don't really care about roller tips but thought a little extra lift would help (especially with my new intake being installed).

Its not worth $300 for me to install them on a stock cam in an engine that never sees 5k RPM but if I could find some cheapie, bolt on steel rockers, I'd be game to try those...

save yourself some money and don't buy rockers and use what have. there is no advantage to upgrading rockers if nothing else is done.

I would say stick with the factory ones unless you plan on building the engine up. Factory rockers are usually stronger than aftermarket unless you go high end. If you upgrade up to 1.7 rockers you will gain a little lift but you wouldn?t really notice too much in my experience.
