You need to put the sway bar back on Mike, I never had one and didn't understand how much it helps until I put one on.
I'll make up a set on modded plates for you to pick up when you come down to see Bob.
The weight thing is why I made that small trailer, plus I don't have to unload everything if I want to wheel right off the bat.

Do I still qualify for the iron butt award if I trailer my FSJ to Ouray behind the last rig I wheeled out there?

I'm planning on letting Truck Norris give me a ride. 1130 miles. But I may take the scenic route just to get the iron but award.

I had the same problem in the MH on my way to Tucson in June. I called BlackBart because I was worried there was something wrong! He claimed it was the alcohol in the fuel combined with the heat of the day was causing it to partially vapor lock even with an electric pump. I came back at night and even with tow baring my D 150 it ran 60 MPH with out a bobble and got better fuel mileage!!

I've found that the E10 fuels have a higher chance of vapor locking than the non ethanol fuels. They sell that enzyme stuff that supposedly breaks down the ethanol in the fuel but I have yet to try it.

              West Bound

              We're in!

              I've reserved cabin 22A.
We'll be bringing my Grandragon with a couple updates by then.
We're really looking forward to getting back to Ouray.
My tee shirts need replacing really bad!

              Any ways,
We're totally stoked about going back.
Couldn't think of a better time than the big Five-O Waggy Anniversary.

Just wanted to post up and say I really hope we can make it for 2012. It will be a special year in many ways!

                    High Rolling

                    Has anyone thought about T-shirts?

I'm thinking the 50th anniversary of the FSJ should have one.

Something with the 'Invasion' and 'Ouray' as part of the design of course.
And a great classic Woody Wagoneer pictured? Maybe the last model year?
Not that I'm biased just because I own an Iconic '91 Final Edition White Woody.
                    Just saying.........

Surely we have someone with skills to create one?
                    Any volunteers?
What about a contest, or a poll to choose the best?

TinMan! Haven't heard from you in while. You ever going to come wheeling at SMORR or Lockwood here in MO? If so, give me a heads up and maybe I can join you!

BTW, since I am hoping to bring up the truck with Camper and Trailer, would 52C be deep enough or should I just jump down to 53?

                                Thanks!
