New to IFSJ!!

Hi all,

Another newbi here to classic Jeeps. I picked up this '78 360ci Wagoneer late last year and am just getting around to making moves on it.

It came to me with a leaking transmission that was lucky fixed by tightening some of the bolts and replacing some missing ones. The rear drive shaft is bent but I have found a second one that I plan to install tonight.

Over all, two trim pieces are missing, it has some rust damage on the rocker and rear quarter panels, and the interior needs some sufficient love. Ideally I'd like to get new quarter and rocker panels that would be painted to match the truck when it goes under the gun later this spring.

My goal is to get the truck done by summer for some fun beach cruising.

The check list right now is:
Get the emergency 4wd turned off
install driveshaft
new shocks all around

find a motor/conversion kit for the rear window ( originally powered but switched at some point. I would like to go back to power, I'm currently missing the correct lifting mechanism and motor, all the switches and wires are there.)

figure out quarter panels and rockers
get Painted
new muffler
new carpet
new roof liner
reupholster seats
new speakers and amplifier

Thanks for reading!!!

Hey Guys! Thanks for the warm welcoming. I do like this model, it has some ugly personality to it that I feel makes it look tough.

Couple of questions for you guys:

Where can I find a powered rear window kit? It was originally powered but at some point the regulator was removed along with the motor. However all the wiring and buttons are still there.

Has anyone used the body panel skins from Goodmark? Both rear quarter panels have go to go...

Thanks!

Joe

Welcome to IFSJA

I love the previous owners paint scheme

that black stripe inside bright trim looks good.

will make a nice wagoneer.

I think you could find all parts used

post in "wanted" section, you will get responses.

Glad you're here, Joe! Looking forward to seeing it come back to life!

Post a want ad in the classifieds. I am SURE someone will have one for a good price.
