    New to FSJ's

Hello to everyone here. I just recently picked up a '79 Cherokee Chief. It's got the original 360 with 74,xxx on the clock. It's got a lot of rust but that wasn't a deterrent for me. My plan is to turn it into a crawler. Hopefully I can gain useful information on this site.

That's the only way I could get the picture to work...I've been looking around and can't seem to find a lot of 4 doors, most of them are 2. Is the 4 door kind of rare or what?

You will find that most all of the 2 doors are what we call wide tracs, and have the steel flares. Easier to fit bigger tires without cutting tin. Axles on those are about 5 inches or so wider than the 4 doors. Rest of the rig was the same as the other 4 doors as far as pieces and interior stuff, and the running gear other than the axles.

                Hey Gold,

Look at the picture, this Cherokee is 4 door and looks like a narrow track.
