Yep, it was a good time as usual. It was good to re-meet del and woodchomper, meet woodchompers son, see Hoot again and finally meet an old friend in person. Even if he did smell a bit like cheese.

I made a wrong turn out of the park and was wandering around in 7 ft high corn lined roads for a bit. Good thing I had my Indiana Gazette with me. It has all the backroads on it. The thought of "Children From The Corn" was creeping me out though.

Our GPS took us through at least a couple of miles of washboard dirt roads at midnight on the way to the campground. Del and I were also fearing the "children of the corn" people too. Something eery about driving at midnight through dirt roads with 6 ft corn stalks surrounding you.

I made the correct turn out of the park. It was shortly there after that I made a wrong turn and ended up 5 miles from Turkey Run state park south of Shades. I however wasn't worried about "the children of the corn". I grew up in BFE and was friends with their cousins. It was a little frustrating at first, since all of the skinny little roads surrounded by corn all looked the same in the drizzle/mist that was in the air.
