When the 69 Gladiator was repainted, I had the replace the door mounted , dry rotted, weather striping with the cab mounted seals. I did this per the advise of this forum. Since the door seals were not available, I had no alternative. I also replaced the vent seal with a Bjs replacement.
The Bjs vent seal appeared to have too much material in the acute corner thus the vent window never closed tightly. I finally trimmed some excess rubber from the corner allowing the window to close tighter.
As far as the door seals are concerned, they’ve always leaked along the top edge. I can’t adjust the doors any further in. I even tried slightly tweaking the frame inward with a 2x4. That helped a little but not enough and I’m not sure if I want to continue tweaking the door frame.
I installed these items well over three year’s ago. I wondering if anyone has since found a better route to go.
