hehehe....I got lucky.....the TH400 of unknown origin/condition works great! The shifts are solid and the shift points are good.

But....the shifter shaft seal leaks....I have the GM removal tool and two new seals.....but have to see if there's enough room to replace with the trans in place.

The all-brass expansion plug I used in the back of the passenger head is holding for now....sure makes me nervous. have a spare and required wrenches in the back for when it pops out.....which will be at night when I'm in dress clothes......

I know! Today I'll be ordering (front and rear):
- 4:10 r&Ps
- Eaton elec lockers
- install kits (bearings/shims/etc)

and getting to the real fun!

So my kid noticed a scratch from installing that trans, and asked if I did that to help remember left and right......

After you start the axles you will need the "R" on the other hand.
