    Just saying HAI!

We've (Terry aka Smittles, and I) officially moved to Phoenix. Unfortunately Max is still in project-status, and parked until we get a spot to work on him at. Needs clutch, wiring and fuel-lines done. Otherwise he runs & drives, etc. Pic is in the link in my sig.

Looks like we missed your get-together; granted we wouldn't have been able to do much trail-driving in the Passat. lol

So yeah, just saying "hai" from the Sky-Harbor area (for now).

[moving again, max was traded for a '64 Panel 4x4; over to GA]

Welcome... the Thanksgiving get together was great. No need to wheel the passat, we had jst as much fun sitting around the fire and stuffing our faces. Next time .

BIG PICS FOLLOW! Sorry for those who have low-res screens.

Aside from the obvious rust, this is probably gonna need some replacing. xD

The PO told me to call Willys Works for the new ring gear(flywheel). When I called, the gentleman told me two shops here in Phoenix to check with. Turns out one of the shops is right around the corner from us, had the ring gear, and it was a few dollars cheaper-not to mention saving on shipping fom Tuscon. No promises, but I think Sunday(tomorrow) will see the flywheel removed and either swap the ring gear myself. or pay $25 for 4Wheelers to do it come Monday. So this week we should see if it drives. (Fingers crossed)

I've known Rob and Steve at Willys Works for over 30 years, I lived around the corner from the shop in 1980 when I bought my '51 Willys truck.
Good honest people, if they know a better deal they will tell you, if they can't help they will find someone that can.
If you need something picked up there I'm on that side of town about once a week.
                          ....
For those of us old time Tucson folks you might remember Badlands Transit.
Rob owned that until he sold and bought into Willys Works with Steve, I think Rob's wife still operates a day care center out of the old Badlands location.

That's a little OT I know but Rob used to hide business cards in door panels/under dash boards when rigs came through Badlands.
Both my '51 truck and my '47 CJ2A had come through there, if you find something like that I'm sure he would be glad to hear about it.

Looks like we're saying "bye" already.

The bf's father passed back on Easter, and there's been some issues with his estate, since there's no will; there's been a few issues. (sigh)

We're keeping the Jeep, trying to sell the Chevy (although nobody has even had so much as a nibble, there) and hopefully soon, we'll be over in the south-east. Whether or not we'll have the Jeep up & running soon, depends on weather, and in some cases, funding.

I am from Oregon, https://areaphonecodes.com/united-states/503. But I am also planning to move to your region. But the coronavirus has mixed up all my plans, unfortunately. It looks like I will have to postpone my plans for late autumn. What is your expectation for this year? Do you think the usual life will restart closer to the end of the year? I hope it will be like this.
