Hi Guys,
I thought I'd get myself registered on here now that I've finally got a Grand Waggy on its way to me.
I've had a '98 XJ since the day I passed my driving test, and got my girlfriend a '97 ZJ when she passed hers, but we've both always wanted a Grand Wagoneer.
We finally managed to get the funds together and found one that is exactly what we're looking for. Now I've just got to wait for it to be transported to England for me from Austria!
There is some confusion with it - it was registered in the Netherlands (where it lived since 2006) as a 1979, however everything about it would suggest it's a 1989-1991, and the colour (which very much seems original) would make it a 1991. Any help on this front would be appreciated!
It seems all original, with the 360 and 3-speed (727?). Everything seems to (just about) work, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of fiddling to do once it gets here.
It runs on LPG with the tank replacing the spare tire, so hopefully it should be at least remotely feasible to run over here in the land of expensive fuel!
Anyway, here are some pictures (plus the XJ and ZJ in case anybody is interested):
