    Another addict from Holland

I say hello to all jeep owners addicts and tinkeres.

    My name is Mees,
live in a small place called Schoorl in the area Noord-Holland (Netherlands)

Im a farrier for living and drive a 1973 J4000 with 360 2bbl and T15 manual trans (its my daily transport)

I got the jeep in early 04 ,it originally came from CA (huntington beach)
and did a almost complete rebuild and repaint
the engine was running strong ,i only did refresh the crank and rod bearings and a couple gaskets.
Also put a LPG (propane) system in to save on fuel costs

The 360 is still going good (knock on wood) it drinks a little oil because driving it on lpg ,but noting serious.
And i like the rough look of the old amc 360 engine under the hood

Only the T15 3speed has give me a bit of trouble in the years (already got it two times in parts)
Have already got parts from novak and asked for some more info ,but did not get a satisfied answer.
It sometimes makes all kinds of nasty noises when shifthing
,also when doing some double clutching.
It has eaten some synchromesh blocking rings from the second/third. broke some legs of the small shifting plates and a synchronizer spring.

I got another T15 transmission last year ,but it looks like it has some kind of the same issues.
So i hope to get some more info from you jeepers or from some here that also have the T15 in their fullsize jeeps or even the CJ's

I have already a small idea what the problem could be ,but want to know if others have the same issues or even a solution for it!

    Cheers,
    Mees

    welcome!
Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental.

Welcome, from another European jeep addict !
Maybe a T18 swap ? Post in the Tech section
By the way , seems it's impossible to find a FSJ in Holland without LPG
