I had dozed back off for a minute or so then heard the clanging of metal and rustling outside the truck. Too scared to peer out the side window until I heard the door shut on the truck next to me. They were off to go get their waggy left behind last night.

Can't believe I'm just now reading this!

Hoot, if we'd have known about this at the time we could have made some roaring noises! I mean in addition to the way-to-early am Cummins roar... ;-)

I made plenty of roaring and cussing noises last Sunday as I dumped 35 gallons of diesel on the interstate. I blew a return fuel line in a pouring down rainstorm with temperatures at 40 degrees and falling quick. I put a quick patch on the side of the highway and was thoroughly drenched to the bone in 20 minutes. Luckily the guy I was meeting up with had a huge garage to get a patch line put in out of the rain.

I just replaced them both with real Ford lines today at $90 for parts alone. 1- 13 1/2" line and an 8" line.

I later found out the bellowing was a donkey. But the grunts from the night after, I believe was a bear.

Who's Jeep is this and where did they buy the hood latches? This is exactly what I'm planning for my FSJ and the one aftermarket set I ordered were garbage and I sent them back.

              Thanks. Resbum

I take it this is another retro FSJ Jeep did, like the FC I knew about. If so, I wish they'd quit teasing us like that.

Thanks Tad. Yep, that's what I've been eyeing on the newer Jeeps. Jeep wants big $$$$ for them.

Back on topic somewhat. When I mentioned the FC in another thread REDONE replied that it had been at the 2012 Ouray meet and if I'd caravanned with him I'd have seen it. I didn't know if he was yanking my chain, or not.

                      Thanks for the replies, guys.

I imagine there are lots of those hood latches already in wrecking yards.

The FC and J12 were part of a Jeep event in Telluride that week. The FC did not come over to the KOA or join us on any trails that I am aware of. The J12 made a couple days of trail rides over passes.

OK. Thanks for clarifying. I misunderstood REDONE.

                          They are pretty.
