    Air Cleaner Vacuum Motor

The vacuum motor diaphragm for the innermost trap door inside my air cleaner snorkel has failed. I have been unable to locate a new one from the typical parts sources, including:

    BJ's Offroad
    Team Grand Wagoneer
    Kennedy American AMC Parts
    Galvin's AMC-Rambler Parts
    Napa/O'Reilly/Autozone

I have the door wired open and the vacuum line plugged for now, but I'd rather have it working as designed because I like my cars "prissy", as this forum calls it.

I just thought I'd ask here to se if anybody here knows a source of new vacuum motors or if anybody wants to sell their used one to me. Lots of folks chuck the stock air cleaners into the trash so if someone wants to pull the vacuum motor off and mail it to me before they trash it...that would be appriciated.

I just sold a pair to someone else. I have one from a 6cyl air cleaner somewhere.
Should also have another v8 pair out in garage somewhere as well.
Got a pic of the linkage? I can dig around and see if it’d work for you.
Or you could probably reuse your likage, doesn’t look likeit would be hard to swap them.

I have an air cleaner base from a 78 I am going to cut up. Do you want just the motor? I would also be willing to cut off almost the whole snorkel and send it. You can have it for shipping.... (only disclaimer, I am writing this at work and have not tested the motor so I may get home and find it's bad).

I needed one a few weeks back for my 70 build. I could not find them anywhere. Then by accident I found them on ebay. There are dozens of choices. I ordered 2 and threw them on the shelf. Take a look there are many.

Thanks all of you. I will post a picture of the vacuum motor tomorrow so you can see what it looks like and we can make sure I get the right one.

I figured a lot of you would have these sitting around collecting dust.

This is for my Eagle's 258, but the air cleaner components are the same as the Jeep 258 and 360.
